- Photography and dreaming. This blog will be an alternating gallery for my photography and for my nighttime dreams. I want to present the contrast between a world where I have a fair amount of control over settings, environment, subjects and editing against the world of my subconscious mind, a mysterious, quirky, often symbolic and unusual world. Photography is the visual manifestation of my everyday life, interests and mood, a space where I can choose the direction of my thoughts and attitude. I am most curious about my dream world and how that may affect my waking thoughts, moods and interpretations. I am curious to see if influences occur in any way. "This is me, being still. I realized something today, the snap of my shutter is literally me, being still. It stops the mind chatter, for a moment, the photo while being taken and when viewed later. It is gratification and solace." Tiny details, worlds within worlds, situations that seem magical when really it's just science plus my emotion. How can we define it? Understand it? And yet, just connect with it because we already are. Photos and dreams.
